Weiler Péter Kulcs a kő alatt című kiállítása egy virtuális séta a Balaton utcáin.
Kerítéseken keresztül pillantunk be a nyaralók időkapszuláiba, mikró-világok tárulnak fel, amik őrzik a generációk emlékeit. Vendégvárás, rokon várás… osztozni a nyár gyorsan múló pillanataiban. Weiler Péter egyik központi témája a Balaton, annak történelme, tárgykultúrája és építészete. Legújabb képeit Arácson készítette 2022. nyarán.
“A balatoni reggeleket szeretem a legjobban. A lellei bolt elé már 6 órakor ledobták a tejes ládákat. Nem sokkal utána a társasüdülő kertésze gereblyével igazgatta a sárga kavics ösvényt a ház előtt. Az első strandolók a felfújt gumicsónakot két oldalról fogták közre, benne a törölköző, labda és a hűtőláda. Így csoszogtak el előttünk papucsban. Kopogtak, de nem várta meg a postás, hogy ajtót nyissunk, a levélrésen ejtette be a táviratot. Nagyapám üzent.” – írta Weiler Péter

Key Under the Stone
Weiler Péter’s exhibition titled “Kulcs a kő alatt” (Key Under the Stone) is a virtual stroll through the streets of Balaton. Through fences, we catch glimpses into the time capsules of holiday homes, revealing micro-worlds that preserve the memories of generations. Welcoming guests, waiting for relatives… sharing in the quickly passing moments of summer. One of Weiler Péter’s central themes is Lake Balaton, encompassing its history, material culture, and architecture. His latest images were captured in Arács during the summer of 2022.
“I love Balaton mornings the most. By 6 am, the milk crates were already dropped off in front of the Lelle store. Shortly after, the gardener of the holiday resort was raking the yellow gravel path in front of the house. The first beachgoers embraced an inflated rubber boat from both sides, containing towels, a ball, and a cooler. Theyshuffled past us in flip-flops. They knocked, but the postman didn’t wait for us to open the door; he dropped the telegram through the mail slot. My grandfather sent a message,” wrote Weiler Péter.
